Process
This is the Cold Cast Porcelain Process. All hand cast products.

The beginning….sculpture

All sculpture is original and starts as raw clay, added to an armature. This process is the most integral part of the process. Many hours, or months may be put into the sculpture before it is ready for the next step.

Mold making

Once the sculpture is finalized and all parties are happy with the finished piece, a mold will be made from the original. The clay original will be “lost” in this process, and the mold will become the tool that the castings will be made from.

Casting

This is the process that is most misunderstand. There’s NO mass production from this mold. Whether it be Cold Cast Porcelain, or wax for creating Bronze castings, each casting is done one at a time, by hand.

If the sculpture has a limited casting number, the mold will be destroyed once that limit has been met. Each piece has an embossed copy write mark, date, and signature.

Hand Painting

When the casting is removed from the mold, it is carefully and meticulously cleaned to remove all seam lines and blemishes. From that point the sculpture can be finished. From a realistic hand painted color to faux finishes, the tiny details of color down to the shine in the eyes, the casting takes on the final finish

Finalizing

After the sculpture is painted, most receive a presentation plinth and brass plate to finalize the piece. The wood of choice is solid Oak hand cut to size, sanded, and stained to meet your final approval. The Brass plate will state your animals name, ranch name or your specified quote. The Sculpture will also come with a Certificate of Authenticity, created especially for each piece, stating the pertinent information for that particular sculpture and can be customized.
