How are your sculptures different from other figures on the market?
The artwork that is offered by Carol’s Original WorkS is all hand made right here in the US. No part of the process is farmed out or shipped in. Each piece is individually crafted for YOU. COWS does not stock large volumns of product or mass produce in any way. You will be recieving a very individual item that is given the utmost attention to detail. All artwork and production processes are done by the artist, CM Herden, who has a rich history in Farm and Ranch, horses, and wildlife.
What are they made of?
All of the sculptures are original and start as raw clay, added to an armature. This is the most integral part of the process. Many hours, or months may be put into the sculpture before it is ready for the next step. From the clay sculpture a mold is made. The Cold Cast Porcelain is then hand cast into the mold. This is a resin based casting medium that has Porcelain powder added to the mix. It is not a fired clay that can be very breakable, nor is it a toy as small parts such as ears can break off. The sculpture is not intended for young children.
Why are your prices so low?
The comparible companies with Cattle and horse figures that are on the collectable market are primarily from England, and are priced significantly higher even though most of the products are produced in China. The reason COWS can be so competitive is because we are an artist owned and operated business. All processes are done in house, by the artist. COWS does not have a large employee base or outsourced work, fancy packaging or expensive printing costs so we don’t have those expenses to pass on to you, the customer. COWS is proud to be the largest producer of Cattle figurines in the world, and we are made in the USA.
How long does it take to get the sculpture?
Most Sculptures are individually crafted for you so we do not have a large volumn of product setting on a shelf. Most items require a 2-4 week lead time, but can be longer if we have a large volumn of orders. We will accomidate you as best as we possible can. If you need something be a specific time, please feel free to contact us. Express mailing is an option. If there is an item on hand, that item will be shipped out immediatly when ordered. If the order requires your photos for completion, the timelyness of your photos is important, and may affect the delivery time.
If you are ordering multiple pieces, the number of pieces ordered will effect the delivery time.

Can I see your work in Person ?
Yes, we do have a show date page you can check to see where we will be displaying our Sculpture. COWS doesn’t attend a lot of public display shows because we need the time to create and fill orders. Because we don’t have outside sales and promotion, our time is split between marketing and producing. This is an improtant balance as we need to keep our customers informed, but we also do not want our customer service to suffer. You are more than welcome to visit our studio! COWS is located at 51447 124th st., Amboy, MN. 56010. Please note that we have moved from our location in Iowa. Your welcome to call ahead to schedual a visit.
If I damage a sculpture, can I fix it?
You can fix the sculpture yourself if it is a simple break such as an ear. The easiest way to reattach the broken part is with super glue. No, this is not the perfict fix, but it will keep the piece in one piece and reasonable condition. If it is a major break such as a leg, you may be able to fix it with 5 minute epoxy ( 2 part mix in tube). Or, it may be possible to have COWS studio repair it for you. This may be less expensive than replacing the item. Each repair job will be quoted individually. Shipping the item to COWS will be an important step as to not damage the item more than it already is.
